Our deep-sea liquid magnesium is harvested through our unique Hydrasphere™ Technology which is patent protected across four continents. Numerous scientific studies and research has demonstrated that through a sealed, pressurised extraction process our Magnesium and Minerals are encapsulated in a ‘Hydration Shell’ or ‘Sphere.’
This ‘shell or sphere’ forms a protective shield of water and encapsulates each of the minerals. Furthermore, this shield protects and prevents the positive magnesium and mineral ions from binding to any negative ions, meaning they retain their 100% bioavailability.

Dr. Ronan Murphy is the lead scientist in the independent clinical studies carried out at DCU over the past seven years into the benefits of Oriel Magnesium Mineral Extracts to skin, health and wellbeing.
Ronan is an academic lecturer in Cell & Molecular Physiology, Genetics and Epigenetics at DCU, as well as a teaching faculty member at the University of Angers, France. He serves as Associate Editor for Clinical Epigenetics, Frontiers in Physiology, and Epigenetics Insights and Editorial Board member for the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. He is a Principal Investigator at MEDES – Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology, Toulouse, France.
Oriel Marine Extracts only states research and clinical studies which are our own, carried out by scientists in Dublin City University using Oriel Magnesium products. These studies are the only studies undertaken globally, published in medical and skincare journals on “free ion” magnesium, to prove its benefits in medical devices, skincare, cosmetics, nutrition and healing. Oriel Marine Extract studies have only been carried out on human skin and volunteers, we do not subscribe to animal testing.
